Advisory Notice - York VPN will require Duo 2FA as of July 29th

As part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity, York’s Virtual Private Network - VPN (Pulse Secure) will require two-factor authentication, Duo 2FA, as of July 29, 2021.

On that date, the general use VPNYork service will prompt you for a password as it normally does, but it will also require 2FA validation at each login.

If you use Duo Mobile push authentication: Duo Mobile will prompt you to validate your login as you do with other systems; no additional action is required.

If you use passcodes: In the login prompt where you would enter your password in the entry box, you will now be required enter your password followed by a comma and then the passcode provided to you by DUO. All this must be included in the entry box.
